This is an information graphics project which begun with a prototype —SisTeMu—, a visual language/system created to interpret musical textures. SisTeMu uses simple geometric forms and basic colours. It explores the melodic and rhythmic harmonies found in a musical composition intending to somewhat simplify the complex mathematical structure and make it more accessible to the viewer. Through this derives a new visual narrative. To put the system to test, we have translated the violin score of the four concertos that form “The four seasons” by Antonio Vivaldi. The entire work is linked in the book “Lesquatrestacions”. A series of four posters and a collection of stamps also form a part of the main project.
